Information we collect

We collect information only when you choose to give it to us. You can share your email address through any of these signup spots:

• The newsletter form on our homepage
• The "A New Dawn Awaits" popup that may appear while you browse
• Our free-gift pages, including the pages reached by scanning the QR codes printed in our books
• Our AI-assistant connection, when you ask a supported assistant (such as ChatGPT or Claude) to subscribe you

What we store

For each signup we store your email address, a short tag showing where you signed up (for example "welcome_popup", "33-things", or "ai_assistant"), and the date and time you signed up. Your presence on our list is our record that you asked to receive our emails.

To protect our forms from abuse, our signup service briefly checks the internet (IP) address a request comes from so it can limit repeated submissions. That address is not saved to our subscriber list.

We do not ask for your name, mailing address, phone number, or payment information through these forms.

How we use your information

We do not sell or rent your email address.

• To send the free download or gift you requested
• To send a welcome email after you subscribe
• To tell you about new books and announcements
• To send occasional newsletters and related Thought Illumination Press updates

Where your information is stored and who processes it

Our website and subscriber list are hosted on Lovable Cloud, the platform that runs this website. Emails we send to you — such as welcome and free-gift emails — are delivered through Lovable's email service from our own domain.

Some older subscriber information remains stored in Klaviyo, an email marketing service. Our Klaviyo account remains active on its free plan. New website signups currently go into our website's own subscriber list and are not sent to Klaviyo.

New website signups are also added to Brevo, our separate email marketing service, for Thought Illumination Press newsletters and book updates. Existing Brevo contacts are not reactivated through our website forms. Welcome and free-gift emails continue to be delivered through Lovable's email service.

Klaviyo may continue to be used for newsletter or marketing-email management. You may request access to or deletion of your information by emailing hello@thoughtillumination.com.

Unsubscribing

You can stop receiving our emails at any time by using the unsubscribe link in our emails or by writing to hello@thoughtillumination.com and asking to be removed.

Accessing, correcting, or deleting your information

To ask what information we hold about you, or to have it corrected or deleted, email hello@thoughtillumination.com from the address you subscribed with. We will respond within a reasonable time.

Cookies, browser storage, and analytics

We do not use advertising cookies, and we have not installed third-party analytics or tracking scripts such as Google Analytics, the Meta Pixel, or the Pinterest Tag.

Our website uses your browser's own storage to remember a few simple things on your device, such as whether you have already subscribed or dismissed the signup popup (so it does not keep appearing), plus a leftover shopping-cart setting from an earlier version of our store. This information stays in your browser; you can clear it at any time through your browser settings.

Our hosting provider keeps basic visit statistics, such as page views and the website that referred a visitor, which we may review to understand how the site is used.

Third-party links

Our website links to other websites, including Amazon (where our books and recommended products are sold) and Pinterest (where you can save our pins). When you follow those links, the other company's privacy practices apply, not ours. Please review their policies.

Security and retention

Our subscriber list is protected so that website visitors cannot read it, and we take reasonable steps to keep your information safe. No method of storing or sending information online is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We keep your email address for as long as you remain subscribed. If you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your information, we will remove it within a reasonable time, unless we need to keep a limited record to honor your request.

Children's privacy

Our website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has given us their email address, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the new version on this page and change the effective date above.
